We’ve had a really heart-warming story sent through to us this month about a very special Shetland pony, which we couldn’t wait to share with you. Wee Bob is loved by his whole neighbourhood in Renfrewshire and spends his days causing mischief in the family home as well as now working alongside a care home called Alltogether Care, to help bring a smile to the faces of their residents.

Wee Bob’s owner Stacey said “during all his visits and photo shoot I noticed how much he brought a smile to everyone's face and really made their day, as he is the most chilled out pony - with all this in mind I thought it would be nice to put a smile on people's faces more often, as wee Bob loves the fuss and attention”. Alltogether Care contacted Stacey to see whether Wee Bob would be able to visit their residents, as the company likes to go that extra mile to bring a little sunshine into someone’s life and that’s exactly what Wee Bob does. This incredible Shetland pony is toilet trained, so he can even go right up to resident’s bedsides, so everyone gets the chance to have cuddles and kisses with him.
For Wee Bob’s recent visit to Robin House Children’s Hospice he was bought a super adorable Equiport Fleece Rug to make sure he looked his best for all the children. Stacey said “Wee Bob’s visit to Robin House was fantastic, he chilled out with some children around the living room area and watched TV with them. Everyone commented on how amazing his rug looked and can't believe how chilled and amazing he is with the children. Seeing the children smile from ear to ear makes it all worth it”. Wee Bob is definitely a Shetland of a lifetime and we’re completely in love with him!
