New! We’re pleased to introduce the Samshield Miss Shield riding hat – the latest trend for the new season. Inspired by classic women’s polo hats, the Miss Shield brings the riding hat bang up to date with a wide brim and customisable frontal band for an elegant, feminine look.
The Miss Shield has been designed on the basis of the original Samshield Shadowmatt and Premium hats, and boasts the same technical features for rider comfort and safety, including:

A polycarbonate outer shell and variable density inner shell – this provides superior shock absorption to protect your head in a fall.

Internal memory foam liner to provide exceptional comfort. This can also be removed for washing to keep your head feeling fresh.

Semi-rigid chinstrap – this keeps the hat in a secure position and eliminates the risk of it tipping backwards or forwards when landing over a big jump.

Outstanding ventilation through the front air inlet and back extractors. Fresh air is pulled in through the front to push hot air out through the back of the hat.
Certified to CE VG1 and ASTM/SEI F1163-15 standards, making the hats permissible under British Showjumping, British Dressage and British Eventing (excluding cross-country) rules.
The Miss Shield is available in Shadowmatt (matt outer shell) and Premium (Alcantara outer shell) versions. Like all Samshield hats, you can create your own bespoke look by customising the top, trim and blazon, as well as the frontal band unique to the Miss Shield.
