Beris Mullen Eggbutt Pelham

This Beris Bits pelham has a soft, flexible mouthpiece, which is pleasant in the horse's mouth yet has a steel core for safety.

Mullen mouthpiece

The mullen mouthpiece is a very mild unvarying mouthpiece that puts pressure on the tongue and lips, as well as slight pressure on the bars depending on the size of the horse's tongue.

This bit is often useful for horses with very soft mouths who don't like complicated mouthpieces. It can also be helpful for horses who back off the contact and need extra confidence in the bit.

The mouthpiece has a gradual transition to the rings to help prevent pinching.

Pelham

The pelham can be used with two reins or with pelham roundings.

When the top rein is used, the pelham works like a hanging cheek snaffle, putting slight pressure on the poll and using even pressure across the tongue.

Once the curb rein is engaged, the leverage and lip pressure are increased as well as activating the curb chain.

Comes with curb hooks and rope Pelham roundings.

This Beris pelham has a 7cm shank, and is available in 13cm or 14cm with a soft or a hard mouthpiece.
