Cavalor Dry Feet Spray is designed to make the horse's frog and sole area visibly drier within a couple of days. It is widely used by vets, farriers, grooms and riders in the battle against soft areas in the hoof and other symptoms related to thrush.
Thrush is a common bacterial infection in horses' hooves, particularly in the frog region. Even if you try to keep your horse's environment as clean as possible, bacteria will always be present in stables and paddocks, which provide ideal conditions for the anaerobic bacteria to live in the hoof and damage it.
Ingredients
Cavalor Dry Feet makes the hoof a less hospitable home for necrotic bacteria, thanks to the combination of active ingredients.
Glutaraldehyde has an astringent drying and hardening effect, while benzalkonium chloride makes sure the product adheres to the hoof longer.
When the hooves are hard and dry, oxygen will find its way back to the frog area, which will kill the bacteria.
Dry Feet can also be used as a preventative measure for horses that are prone to thrush. However, it is not recommended for use on dry hooves, as it can make them brittle and cause cracks.
Directions For Use
Use approximately 2-3 trigger sprays of Cavalor Dry Feet per application on a clean hoof. Repeat daily for 3-5 days until the hoof is visibly drier.
As a preventative, use once or twice per week.
Cavalor Dry Feet Spray is available in 250ml bottles.
