Research
Cavalor ArtiTec is the result of a 7 year research program studying the efficacy and synergistic potential of the individual raw materials and botanical ingredients on inflammation, cartilage protection and repair.
Selection of the ingredients and optimising the product formulation was carried out at the University of Prince Edward Island, Canada, and further testing was carried out at the University of Ghent.
Clinical field testing by Belgian veterinarians then took place on 31 horses with lameness of more than 3 months duration and which had been determined was localised to the foot by a positive digital palmar nerve block. The horses received a dose of 9oml ArtiTec per day for 1 month with no concurrent treatments. The efficacy of the product was rated similarly by both riders and equine practitioners: in 8/31 (26%) horses, there was no relevant change in observed lameness, whereas in 23/31 (74%) horses, lameness improved moderately (8/31; 26 %) or substantially (15/31; 48%).

Dosage
In case of heavy strain: 3 x 30 ml in the mouth of the horse or sprinkle this amount over the feed.
Maintenance dose: 2 x 30 ml in the mouth of the horse or sprinkle this amount over the feed.
Maximum per horse: 200 ml per day
It is recommended to use this product for at least 4 weeks. A bottle will typically contain enough for 22-33 days depending on the dosage required.
