The Kentucky Winter Bib has artificial sheepskin and rabbit fur lining, and is ideal for protecting your horse's chest area from rug rubs, and also equalises the pressure a heavy winter rug places on a horse's chest.
It is made up of two flaps and is fitted to the front of the rug where the front closures are. One flap lies on the inside of the rug, directly against the horse's chest, while the other flap hangs on the outside of the rug. Both edges have notches to keep the bib firmly in place.
The flap that is in direct contact with the horse's skin is lined with artificial rabbit fur, which is extremely soft and comfortable to prevent rubbing of the chest. Artificial sheepskin around the fold of the bib prevents rubbing at the base of the neck and offers further comfort. The outer fabric is peached polyester.
The bib can also be used to protect the horse's wither area, and can be used in combination with all kinds of rugs.
Machine washable at 30 degrees.
A Kentucky Summer Bib is also available for use in warmer weather.
The Kentucky Winter Bib is available in Navy, one size only.
