The Kentucky Sheepskin Short Stud Girth is ideal for protecting sensitive-skinned horses that wear monoflap saddles from stud injuries, thanks to the wide padded plate and synthetic sheepskin lining.
It has a wide protective plate with an EVA protective inner to reduce the risk of damage from studs striking the horse's belly, and is also anatomically shaped and designed to follow the horse's movement for the ultimate in comfort. It relieves the horse's shoulders and elbow, allowing the horse to breathe without restriction.
The girth has an artificial sheepskin lining, which is removable and can be machine washed at 30 degrees. This synthetic sheepskin alternative is durable and quick to air dry.
It is made from artificial leather, which does not absorb dirt, sweat or water and is therefore easy to maintain and keep clean. It is durable and does not change colour over time.
This short stud girth has triple-layered elastic at both ends to equalise pressure, and has both a D-ring and carabiner hook to attach a breastplate or martingale.
