Help your horse recover from hard work, and assist the healing of injuries, with the eQuick eArtik Cooling Boots that have reusable inserts that can be frozen to provide cold therapy.
Cold therapy is one of the most effective methods for alleviating soft tissue aches and pains in hard-working horses. It can aid the healing of old and new musculoskeletal injuries, and also help to prevent them.
The eArtik boots contain reusable gelatine bags which fit neatly inside the boots. To use, freeze the bags or the complete boot for at least two hours. When you need to use them, take them out of the freezer, put the bags in the pockets inside the boots, and apply to the horse's legs.
A 20-minute application time is generally recommended, but it is worthwhile checking application time and use of the boots with your vet when treating specific issues.
The boots can also be used for hot treatment if required. Put the bags in the microwave for a maximum of 1 minute at 650W before applying. Always check the temperature before putting the boots on the horse's leg.
The eArtik Cooling Boots are ergonomically designed to stay in the correct position, and have three generous Velcro straps to adapt the fit to a wide range of different horses.
They can easily be machine washed at 30 degrees, too. Simply remove the gelatine bags and close the Velcro straps before washing.
The eQuick eArtik Cooling Boots are available in Black in pairs, one size only, and come with a storage bag.
