Equiport Fast Twist Bradoon

This bit has a fast twist in the mouthpiece, causing edges that result in pressure points in the horse's mouth - it increases pressure on the tongue and bars of the mouth, and also acts on the lips. This offers the rider more control than a smooth mouthpiece, and can help to prevent the horse from leaning and also aids in lifting the forehand.

Equiport-supported rider, show producer Katie Jerram finds this bradoon useful for horses that need more control but not necessarily a bigger bit. “It picks the horse up and helps him to look through the bridle,” she says.

However, Katie cautions that this bit needs to be used in good, knowledgeable hands.
